Roll on Summer Break

With all this sun we've had lately and all the fun of camping the week before and Hollie's birthday celebrations this weekend, I am so so ready for the kids to break up from school. Roll on 23rd July. I could have quite easily kept them home today : )

I needed to make a card this weekend for a friend of Hollie's, so I used the sketch at Twisted Sketches.

I stripped it right back and came up with this:

I completely forgot about my LO on Cocoa Daisy this month.
As I was the Queen of the Crop winner, I got asked to make up a sketch and a LO for a sketch/scraplift LO.
I used an older Cocoa Daisy kit and made this. (click photo for a clearer look)

If you want to read the thread or feel like joining here. Visit Cocoa Daisy here. If you haven't visited the forum before, don't be put off. I've been on many crafty forums over the years and this is by far the friendliest bunch ever.

So our weekend. Hollie had a fab birthday. Rather Twilight themed : )
She got a trampoline, mobile phone, New Moon duvet set, the last 2 dvds (we have the blu rays, but she can't watch them in her room), Twilight and Eclipse movie books, Team Jacon T shirt, school bag, New moon pens and mobile cover and lots more. Tonight we are taking her to see Eclipse.

The pudding party went so well. The girls were so much fun. We made fruit kebabs, frosted and decorated cupcakes, ate masses of different puddings and they giggled and played and the 2.5hrs were over far too quickly.
Even poppy got decorated.

It's been a lovely weekend.
Hope you had fun too xxx

  3. you've adapted that sketch brilliantly for your card. I was daunted by the amount of squares on the sketch and didn't think of just taking some away! x
