CD Scraplift
Another one from me : )
Not doing too badly lately. Noticing my style is cleaner than usual this week. Funny how you go through phases.
This is a Cocoa Daisy Scraplift contest. I've some older bits from CD kits. It's lovely looking through old kits sometimes, you completely forget what you've got stashed away.
I've had my haircut this morning in preparation for our Florida trip. Nothing major, a good trim and layer and the curls have bounced back.
Just a couple more jobs before heading off to school x

Round and Round
I've been inspired today by this sketch on Sketchy Thursdays Blog.
Lots of circles.
This is what I've made using this months Cocoa Daisy kit. If you fancy using the sketch. Don't forget to link back to Sketchy Thurdsays.
I found this old photo taken in a street of where I grew up in Ratingen, Germany. I wish I had more photos. I was a teen in those days and loved it for the fun things back then like watching ice hockey, ice cream parlours, pizzerias, shopping, a great outside swimming pool etc... I don't remember the town being so beautiful.
So when I finished that LO, I cracked straight onto the latest Colorcombos challenge. And the circles stuck.
Another one using the cocoa daisy kit.
I really hated the fact that my Mum enjoyed dressing us the same eventhough I was 5 yrs older.
xx

Counting Down
Yes we are, as we leave home for Orlando in 2 weeks and 1 day. I'm so so excited : )
And counting down to Louis' 8th Birthday, 1 sleep to go. I have one very excited little boy.
So it's all smiles and butterfly tummies in this house.
So, scrapping. I need a day or even an evening of uninterupted scrapping bliss. I really feel the need for it. I hope it happens before we go.
I did take part in another scraplift contest over at Cocoa Daisy this weekend. But again it was another rushed one. Done inbetween helping with homework, making dinner, baking birthday cakes, bathtime and bedtime. With lots of 'just coming' being shouted out from me in my room.
I forgot to show the last one I did for Cocoa Daisy during the scraplift contest at the beginning of the month. (see above) I love that photo taken on Boxing day. Louis with his new DSI with his guinea pig under his arm. He kept taking a piccie of him and then changing the photo so the G.Pig looked like rat. If you've seen DSI's you'll understand what I mean.
This is another Cocoa Daisy. A weekly prompt this time.
I have a chocolate explosion cake to go ice now. I will share photos another time.

Another Quick Post
I'm sure someone has pressed the fast foward button on my life right now. Everything I seem to do is rushed. I run from one thing to the next.
Here is a LO that I did yesterday in stages between doing many other things.
It's a Cocoa Daisy prompt. To use old papers and embellishments.
I've scrapped about My Little Nanny.
It's Louis's birthday on Tuesday so my sister and her family will be here in about 3 hours to celebrate with us this weekend. I'm almost done with my tax return too. Just off to finish that now, but need to quickly clean the bathrooms and hoover first...go go go.
Have a lovely weekend xx

Meatball Monday
Just a quick show and tell from me today.
This cold of mine is sticking around for week 2 by the looks : (
My head is throbbing and I feel yuk!
I wanted to show my latest making for The Studio. (see above)
This latest challenge goes like this:
1. Take your alphas and alter them. Maybe you have a font you love but in the wrong colour – well change them! Show us what you can do!
2. Use a symmetrical page design – everything on one side should balance what’s on the other.
3. Use fabric of some kind on your page!
Again, the DT used the lovely Studio Calico kit that we each got sent.
And this is the previous weeks sketch from Sketchy Thursday.
That's it from me.
Hope you had a great weekend. TFL xxx

Feeling Rubbish

New Year....New Challenge
At The Studio.
And it goes like this:
- Make a page that includes a lot of “white space”.
- The subject of your page should be something that scares you; scrap your fears!
- Use 3 photos in the design of your page – but don’t forget that white space!
I scrapped all about fearing about being a good parent and how I try to do my best all the time.
The DT were lucky enough to receive a Studio Calico kit each to play with for our January challenges. How lucky are we : )
And now on to the topic I think the whole of the UK is talking about......SNOW
and lots of it too. I stuck the ruler in the front garden at 11.30am and it continued to snow heavily until about tea time.
So now schools again for us today.
Poppy enjoyed it too : )
Hope you are warm and snug xx

Happy New Year
I'm sorry, I'm just so pants at updating this place, general blog hopping and forum visiting over the Christmas Season.
I am now slowly getting back into the swing of things.
It's snowing like crazy here.
Stay warm and cozy
