This Years Christmas Tipple

I had the sudden urge to scrap last night, so that's what I did.
Kids were in bed and Ade had just nipped out to walk Poppy, before he was back, I'd created this LO, all about this years Christmas tipple.....spiced berry(hot) by day and mulled wine by night.

My inspiration has come from the color combos girls:
The colours went perfect with this photo I took on Dec 1st.
All papers are Making Memories and the rubbons which are so fab to use I must add are Junni Bowlin.
Hope you all enjoting the lead up to Christmas xx

Mini Book for my little Sis

I've been wanting to make this little mini book for my Sister for Christmas. I suddenly found out last week that they were coming over Sunday (yesterday) and we aren't seeing them until 31st Dec....so needed to make it asap. I managed to make it all Friday evening : )
Was rather chuffed with myself.
It was very easy and although these Basic Grey choccie chip mini books do cost a little extra, I do think it's well worth it. The pages are finished off so nicely, it's great when you are in a hurry to not have to paint before or cover every milemetre in paper.
I also used a 6x6 Basic Grey Urban Prarie pad, so all the papers were a nice size to use on this mini book.
The bits can be found here at Sassy Crafts

OMG !!!!! I actually finished a mini book, a rarity for me. I started this during a crop in October and then finished it at the weekend just gone. A Christmas prezzie for my Mum. I hope she will like it.

Autumn Forever

I love Autumn and feel sad as Autumn is rapidly turning into Winter....or is winter here already??? I think it probaly is actually.
I used Basic Grey Ambrosia papers for this latest card still keeping in with the Autumny feel.

You can see the papers and matching bits here:

And my sketch for the card comes from the very talented ladies at:

Long time no post (or craft)

I can't believe it's been so long without crafting or blogging !!! I don't quite no what happened. I think a combo of things with being very busy at home with work, kids and helping out at school, getting ready for the Shimelle class (see post below) and basically not really being in the mood. Such an odd feeling. For months now, I've always had at least one LO on the go, but I just haven't felt like scrappin' but at the same time I felt really down about feeling like that, but when I tried to scrap, nothing happened : (

I'm trying to get the urge back again....I made some crimbo prezzies this week (2 posts below) and then had the class at the weekend, but Steph (nerdbird) came over to scrap yesterday and I still didn't really feel like it. I worked in the morning and then made some Christmas cards in the afternoon. Steph was really sweet and suggested I tried a basic LO, just using a sketch or something, so last night that's exactly what I did and this is what happened.

I've used the sketch on this weeks UKS challenge....and like Steph suggested, kept in basic. It took minutes and I felt a real sense of relief after : )
Will do another later hopefully......I want that buzz back again...I miss not scrappin every day xx

Everyone has a Story

I went along to Shimelle's class on Sunday. 'Everyone has a Story'. I was so excited about going. There was alot of preparation beforehand. We needed about 100 various photos all from different stages of our lives. All different shapes and sizes were requested, so lots of hunting for old photos, lots of taking new ones, lots of scanning and cropping and printing.....no wonder I haven't had much time for anything else recently : )
It was well worth the preparation. The class was excellent and the album will now be an ongoing project. Here is my Title page.
and my routine LO.
The kit was beautiful and I can't wait to get stuck into more LO's now : )

What really made the day was meeting lovely Fay. We met on the way down, so traveled part of the way together. I then sat next to Fay and also Cathy and it felt like doing the class with friends rather than with people I'd only just really met. So thank you girls if you read this : )

Christmas Gifts

Right, it's really time I started cracking on with Christmas Gifts. Ade's parents are off to visit the elderly twin Aunts this weekend, so their gifts are now done. I've made them this cookie jar which I shall fill before wrapping and I also made the photo frame below.

I've used all Basic Grey papers, Element Stickers and Alphas from the Eva range.
They can be bought from Sassy Crafts -
It's nice to be crafting again xx

October Scarlet Lime

I think this LO just about sums up the October kit from Scarlet Lime.
I've been playing with my camera and the settings alot more lately, really trying to improve my photographs. (that's why there are so many of this LO) I couldn't fit all the photos on the one post, so the last 2 are before this one.
This LO is all about Ade and I .....always having our cameras at the ready. We are both as bad (or as good I guess) as each other. Both always trying to capture the perfect shot. And then comparing our photos later when we get home.

Guess What????

Ade is such a sweetie, but I do love winding him up. We went to a farm with all my sis and her family. Ben (my bruv-in-law) let me have his last cough candy sweet ...but it had already been in his mouth....so when Ade (who has a paranoia about cleniness) came up to me and said he could smell cough candy sweets, I kindly gave him the one out of my mouth. He was so pleased : )
I didn't tell him til later it has originally been Ben's : ) : )

I used a variety of bits on this LO. The pp and stickers are from Cocoa Dasiy. The black dotty card and my Remember this moment journal card were packaging inside this kit that I've used. The stamps were from a studio calico kit and then brads and alphas from stash. xx
I had a lovely meal with my friends Amanda and Claire last night, although I'm feeling very tired today. Early night ahead I think : ) xx

Getting Organised for Christmas

I've just made these little placecards, aren't they cute ????

My Mum, along with her Hubby and my brother are joining us for Christmas lunch this year.
We don't usually have company for Christmas, so I've decided to make an even bigger effort this year. Each person will have their own place card and favour at the table : )

I bought this little stamp ages ago from Sassy Crafts...I knew it would come in handy :

My Space

Thought I'd photograph 'my space'. I love it in here. I can lock the door and have peace and quiet. I feel so happy in this room. There's even a bedsofa, although I've never ended up crashing out in here, but I do love sometimes sitting and having a latte when the latest Scrapbooking Inspirations comes theough the door or when my latest kit arrives : )

This is from the door. It looks quite messy from here, but is actually very organised.

This taken sitting on my desk.

This is my second desk.

Ribbons

And drawers. I keep my 12x12 shelves on here, alomg with all my craft books and some tins and baskets full of stashy bits : )

The Feel Good Factor

I had no plans to scrap this pics. I made a mini book ages ago about this weekend away to Barcelona. But Sue on Just Bex has set a challenge to scrap something that makes you feel good.
I always get a lovely feeling when I think of this romantic weekend away I had with my lovely Ade.

My Scarletlime kit this month was perect for this : ) xx
