Squeeeeeeze

Thought I'd squeeze another LO before the end of March...where is this year going????

I've taken part in this months challenge on Scrapagogo. This month we were given a sketch to work with and a theme of 'remember when'.
I went through some old piccies and found some old farm ones from 2006 that I'd forgotten about. It amazes me how young the children look. I love this one of Louis milking a fake cow : )

I love this months scrapagogo kit. Those colours are right up my street. So fresh.
I made a little tag using a sticker and slid it behind the left pic. Details of 'when, where & who'.

Bathtime for kiddies....bye for now xx

2 LO's xx

It's been a funny 'ol weekend.
But I've managed to get 2 done LO's done. Would love to say it was guilt-free scrapping but as usual it was rushed with interuptions and I had the feeling that I should be doing other things like housework, washing, baking etc....
For both I used this months CocoaDaisy kit which arrived this week.
These photos were taken last weekend on Mothers Day.
I played along with the OLW challenge. The word was 'Ready'

And this one is Shimelle's SLYMI (scrap like you mean it) challenge. Use stamps on your LO's.

Don't I look young??!!!
Arguments going off, better go x

Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby...

Ade's parents are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this weekend, so I needed to knock up a card. He was going to pop out to Tescos earlier to get one, but it seemed sinful to do that. Thankfully this came together superfast, thanks to the inspiration from.....http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ if you need to make a quick card....this lil blog never lets you down : ) Helps me out everytime.

Looking forward to the slap-up meal they are treating us to tomorrow lunchtime now : )
Have a lovely weekend xx

Beach, Monkey Bars and Picasso

A quick fly by from me.
Audrey from the Scarletlime group set a challenge this week to make something with our kits this month, with this from Picasso as our inspiration.

This is what I've come up with.
Using the primary colours and some penciling too.

And here is a LO using this weeks colorcombo:

Ade took these photos on Mothers Day at the Beach.

Gotta dash, it's open afternoon in Louis's class to go and see his recent work xx

Busy Weekend

I feel shattered today after a really busy weekend.
I worked all day Saturday and then we went our for a birthday/mother's day meal with in-laws and kids Saturday night. It's our fave chineese restaurant, but we ended up being out much later than planned. We then went to the New Forest for lunch and onto the seaside yesterday. It was a really nice day. The kids were fab and had so much fun.

My Scarletlime kit finally arrived on Saturday. It's my fave so far. Love it!!!
I've been dying to get stuck into it and have just finished this one today. I really wanted to dive into this kit but needed a kick start so have scraplifted this from the Scarletlime gallery, dt member Janna Wilson. I loved the way she blocked these pp together.

This was Louis yesterday....at the top of a big hill, getting time out. It seems ages since I've needed to give him time out, but he got abit over excited and silly and decided to start throwing stones. Not the best thing to do when there's ponies and kids around.....and voila...a perfectly situated bench for the perfect punishment : )
Quite a simple LO for me...

This one is more my style....
One for the Just Bex forum.
I'm launching a challenge today. Make a card or LO with 'Home Sweet Home' as your inspiration.

Think I might dig back into that Scarletlime kit again...don't feel like work : )

34 and 2 A4's

Hello, Hello, Hello !!!!

Gosh, it feels like ages since I've been here. Been abit busy : )

I was 34 yesterday as Ade and the kids kept reminding me all day. I think Ade just feels good as he's still 32. 32 going on 52 I say. I'm much younger at heart than him : )
Had a lovely day and had some lovely things too.
I got the sound of music dvd from Louis and the Ting-Tings cd from Hollie.
I had a lovely pink Radley purse from Ade and an accesories shoulder bag, hair clips, 2 pairs of beady flip flops, a mini-book book, some piccie frames, a cd that he made of all my fave songs, a gorgeous cupcake recipe book from my friend Claire and some handcream (she always moans at the state of my hands...she's a nurse!!) and I got other lovely bits too. Lucky me !!!
We also managed to get U2 tickets on Wednesday, so that's very exciting too.

Right then scrappy stuff..... I had a really bad nights sleep on Wednesday. I've been working really long hours and fell asleep at 8pm on Wednesday, to then wake at 12.50am. Just couldn't sleep, so scrapped until 4am. I made these 2 A4 Lo'S.

This is the SLYMI challenge (Shimelle's Scrap like you mean it) the challenge was to use fabric.

and this one is for the new Florida album I've started. The inspiration has come from this weeks colorcombo challenge.
Loving all this sunshine we ar having. Fingers crossed it stays for the weekend.
Have a good one xx

Love Birds

Hi, I'm sharing with you today my fave weding photo. It's our 2nd anniversary on Saturday. It feels like we've been together forever (in a nice way) but it doesn't seem that long ago that we were in Florida.
Colorcombos were looking for a new design team recently so I thought I'd give it a bash. The combo given was navy, white, tuquoise and red. This is what I sent off...but didn't make the team. I'm chuffed with my LO though : ) I get butterflies when I see this photo.

Working Late again

I've really been putting in the hours with work lately. I'm so desparate to keep ontop of things and not loose it over the summer. I made this LO a while ago and haven't blogged it yet. It was a colorcombo challenge Orange, baby pink, grey and white. Ade took this photo about 3 yrs ago working a summers evening on tableplans. My title was being sung to me in my head by Dolly P, when I was creating this LO.
They story behind this LO is basically....working 9-5...I wish. People just don't appreaciate or understand the hours you have to put in when you work for yourself. People (that's friends and family) just call for a chat or pop in and just think of you being at home....they never take your work seriously. I would love to be able to close the doors on my work sometimes but at the same time, I so proud of what I have achieved.

And here is a card I made this evening. We went for a lovely long walk up the common this morning. It felt so spring like.
Bex launched a challenge to use Gems on a card this week, so that's what I've done.
I've used all the bits and pieces from Sassy Crafts to make this card.
Need to pack up some more orders now ready to go to the postie after school drop off tomorrow.
Nite xx

This Week ........

I decided to start a new project.
I'm going to do an A4 LO each week and just journal a few points about stuff we've done.
Here's this weeks.

Ade's gone into London with his brother as it's a friend's birthday.....I'm missing him : (
I can't wait for him to come home. I do nothing but moan when he's here and miss him like crazy when he's not. Just no pleasing eh??!!

Where's the little boys room?

How come, after Steph left yesterday and I'd picked Louis and his friend up from school, I suddenly had the urge to scrap??? I'd had the opportunity to do since 8.30am and had just pottered and not really achieved too much. Just doesn't make sense. As it turned out, with Hollie being out for tea and Louis and Ethan playing so well together and thankfully I'd made the meatballs and sauce the night before (clever planning!) I was able to play.

I had an idea for the heart sign for the downstairs loo ages ago, but was never in the mood to make it. I'd bought a small chipboard set of him & her, but this month these big scenic route shapes came with the Scarletlime kit and these were just perfect. So I finally made my sign which is now hanging on the downstairs loo : )

I then created this LO of my Dad using this weeks colours on colorcombo .
I wasn't going to bother joining in this week when I first saw the colourcombo, but then pulled a few papers out from here and there last night and it went together so quick. Funny how these things turn out in the end.

I don't have many nice pics of my Dad. It doesn't help that we only see him once a year and also that he looks so crap in photos (wonder where I get that from). But I love him to bits!!!!

My sign for the little boys and girls room
No more making for me today....lots of work on : )

Pencillines 124

I think finally everyone is well at home now...no more bugs or colds...horray!!!
Steph (nerdbird) came over for a scrappy day today, although I seemed to have more of a ploddy day. Lots of chat and not much scrap : )
I finished this weeks pencilines sketch challenge that I started a couple of days ago.

I used this months scarlet lime kit with a piece of scenic route to stick it all onto.
Off to finish my jamie oliver's meatball now....yum !!!
