And Finally...

(Sorry, I've been struggling with blogger.
Here's my post that I ended up saving as I just haven't been able to post it).

This week at The Studio we've been asked to document what we least like about our jobs.

I love working for myself but it means that working from home and for myself, my work is never done. There's always work to be done and I find it very hard to walk away and close the door.

I've used papers, journal embellishments and chipboard alphas from Fancy Pants - the new Baby Mine collection.

When receiving the latest Fancy Pants line we were also sent some lovely Maya Road goodies which included some of these cute fabric flowers.

If you have something that comes to mind for this challenge, then join in with us at The Studio.

Lots of love xxx

Party Time

Hello from sunny England. Finally!!
Loving this sunshine : )

Today I started the weekly summer prompts/challenges at Cocoa Daisy.
I have included an inspiration board which you can see here.
I love this board so much. All those pretty pictures.

This weeks challenge is to create something in red, white and blue in aid of July 4th next week.
We are having a party next weekend.
So here are my invites that I sent out.

If you want to join in with us at Cocoa Daisy, please do here.

I've finished creating with next months kit now. It's a beauty, I've had so much fun with it.
Here's a sneak peek.
The full reveal is tomorrow night. 9PM uk at Cocoa Daisy.
There will be the usual fun and games.

If you've been thinking about signing up for the Cocoa Daisy Kits (which I highly recommend) now is a good time to do so as there is a special offer on.
Have a read here for more info.

That's it from me for today.
See you tomorrow xxx

Gleefully Crate

Today the sun is shining.
It's rained just about every day this week
I've had a full on work week again and have barely been near any scrappy supplies.
So today to cheer my little blog up I am posting this LO I made a short while ago.

Using a whole mish mash of Crate.
We sometimes take the ball to this park, make a goal with a couple of hoodies and play footy. Hollie is always very cautious as she doesn't want anyone to see her that knows her, but every now and then she forgets and has fun.

I punched 4 butterflies out and stuck a cocktail stick between too.

This page makes me feel rather summery.

And incase you are wondering what I'm upto this weekend....

Well, I shall be hanging out with this little lot : )

Not quite hanging out, but watching at the London O2 anyway.
A group of us are going including my lovely friend Nicky who's coming to stay the weekend with me.
Aren't we lucky??!!

I also wanted to let you know that I will be starting a weekly inspiration challenge over at Cocoa Daisy starting this Monday throughout the summer.
I hope you will join me there.

Whatever you have planned this weekend, I do hope it's a fun one.
Enjoy : )

Sketchy Thursday

I love Thursdays as it means its not long until the weekend.

Here is this weeks sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.

And here is Louis last week baking completely alone for the first time.
He was so cute and so proud : )

I used a Crafty Template to mist over to give my starry background.
And some pretty Crate Paper too.
If you want to join in, join us at Sketchy Thursdays here.

Away from scrapping for a moment now.
Today I finally started a Funky Fairies Blog. Funky Fairies is the name of my wedding company which you can see here.
I started it back in 2003 and that's where my scrapbooky name Funky Fairies comes from.
I love my business and love working from home. It's tiring and stressful at times but rewarding all the same.
So if you know of anyone getting married or planning a celebration...point them in my direction : )

I have a hungry family that needs feeding now.
Better go.

Yummy

Hello dear blog.

It feels like it's been a while.
My scrapworld has been neglected as every day life seems to be getting in the way right now.
It happens sometimes, eh?!!

I do though have something to share today.
A couple of things I made a while ago for Papermaze.

I made something very similar to this Cookie Card using my Cocoa Daisy Kit, but gave it to a friend. So I made one for myself using some Girls Paperie papers.
I love these papers. They scream out Cath Kidson to me and that's the look I have themed my kitchen around.

So I also made this to go above the kitchen door.

I have full details and links over on the Papermaze blog that you can see here.

My new Cocoa Daisy kit landed yesterday. It was such a day that eventhough arriving at 7.30am I finally sat and opened it at 8.15pm.
I did then immediately make a LO. That's the sign of a good kit I think : )

Loads to do again, will hopefully sit down and catch up with some blog hopping very soon.

Almost the Weekend

Another busy one.
Head down and just work, that's what it's like right now.
Rushing from one thing to the next.

I did do my Sketchy Thursdays LO this week. At one point I did think I wasn't going to make it and apart from work (which doesn't count) this is the only thing I've made so far this week.
Here's this weeks sketch.

And my page:

I used some of MME Lime twist from Papermaze.

And here is my very proud Louis yesterday : )
He baked this cake all alone. I'm always baking with him, but this was the first time he was left completely to his own devices.
I was in the kitchen making dinner but I didn't lend a hand at all.
He was very sweet.
Then he cut a very large slice for himself and a slither for Hollie : )

I really want to scrap. I have that feeling in my fingers. They kind of ache.
But it's school run in 30mins and parents evening tonight and we need to leave at 5pm and have to have dinnner before.
I hate all the rush.

See you tomorrow xxx

iT'S ALL GO

I'm having a busy week. A really busy week.
Something on after school every day this week.
Work is really busy with lots of deadlines this week too.
But we have a quiet weekend due : )
Thankfully. I need some creative time rather badly.

I forgot to show these ATC's that I made for a Cocoa Daisy swap a while ago.
My first and only ATC's to date.
It's never appealed to me but swapping amongst friends was really fun.
Denise has set up another swap, so I now need to make some more.

I love my jenni bowlin stamp.
And it's a great way to use up scraps too.

So today holds lots of work, 1 very big deadline plus some smaller deadlines.
Hollie is bringing home a friend tonight for dinner.
I've promised Louis that we will bake. He wants to bake alone, so I shall sit and just be there.
Last night I tried a new recipe. Nigella's Thai Chicken Noodle Soup. I highly recommend you give it a go. It's so easy to make and so delicious. My kids loved it!

Back to work now.
Have a great day xxx

Favourite Grown Ups

Hello : )

We have just had a REALLY busy weekend. One of those where you feel you need a weekend to get over the weekend.
Firstly though I'll show you this colourful page that I made about my two fave grown ups.
My little sis and my hubby.

It's for this weeks 'The Studio' challenge. The challenge is to use die cuts this week.
I am partial to a die. I do enjoy using them and more often than not it's to mist these days.
I used a large butterfly to mist over and also a large circle die and scalloped circle die by the title.

I was really excited when my package from Papermaze arrived last week. I love this My Minds Eye 'Lime Twist' line. It's so happy. These are my fave colours to play with lately. Aquas, greens, orange and red. I love those contrasts.

And Papermaze are also now stocking a whole load of Bakers Twine too. I picked up some of the My Minds Eye twine. There are loads of colous to choose from.

So the weekend.
After a long day with Hollie on Friday (she had a french trip so we had to get up at 3.45am to take her to school and collect at 11pm) we were tired to start the weekend.
But we've managed footy training, a day with my sister and her family visiting, I baked a huge amount of cupcakes for a friend's 40th birthday party and we had a great time at the party too.
So busy busy busy.
But no down time now I'm afraid. I have a really busy work week ahead of me which really must start NOW!!
See you later xxx

Getting Sketchy

I'm here with sketchy inspiration on this rainy Sunday morning.
Perfect scrapbooking weather.

Here's this weeks Sketchy Thurdays sketch.

I flipped my sketch this week, grabbed for some Fancy Pants 'Baby Mine' and made this.

My baby boy at 3mths in Disneyland Paris. He was so scrummy.

The July Guest Designer sketch is up too. Come and see here as this month a twist has been added too.

And here's my take.

When we go to Charmouth at Easter, we love visiting Westbaby for an evening.
Beautiful sunset, the fishing boats and fish and chips.
Good luck with your entry.

We are having one of those mad, crazy weekends.
I'll be back tomorrow with hopefully a little more calm and time.
Hope you are having a good one xxx

He's Mine

Last night I delved into my Fancy Pants box of 'Baby Mine'.
I love going through a whole box of new scrap stash and coming up with new ideas and a new story to tell.
Here's my page. (click to enlarge)

I think this will go down as a fave of mine this year. I loved that photo of Louis anyway against the wall and I love how this page turned out. It feels really special.

I really like all the bits and pieces that comes with this new paper line. The filter papers, the chipboard pieces, stickers, rubons and chipboard alphas.
I also wanted to show on Fancy Pants today that this new baby line isn't just for babies.
Take a look at the Fancy Pants blog and see what my fellow teamies made with this line too.

Thanks for stopping by xxx

Butterflies Butterflies

This is going to be a bit of a butterfly post. But they are so pretty. I love adding them to my projects.

First one is these frames I made.
I'm so pleased with these. I've made a bit of a mosiac wall near our dining table with lots of framed bits and pieces. They fit there so well.

Sadly I was too impatient to wait for Ade to hang them as this takes about a year, so they are stuck there with my usual blue tack and have fallen a few times. The glass that I couldn't remove from the frames, now moves. It rattles when you shake the frames. I'm guessing it's no longer attached to the frames and the frames are slightly bashed now too. I have now added 3d foam tape to the back and they seem to stay they better.
But apart from that I am pleased with them and they look pretty.
I used the gorgeous papers from June's Cocoa Daisy kit and have blogged about it here today.

I've also got these cards up at Papermaze today along with a sketch I made.
These papers from Girls Paperie are some of my favourites right now.
I adore this whimsy look right now. So girly.

I added lots of stickles including along the bakers twine.

I don't know what's going on out there today. All the rain we had yesterday afternoon, followed by a beautiful sunny evening, sunny morning then today and now it's grey and rainy again. Boo!
I think I need some thick socks on, my feet are cold.

Happy Scrapping xxx

Hands uP!!!

Do you have a Cocoa Daisy Kit on it's way to you this month?

I loved Denise's sketch challenge.
Go and take a look here.
She's made her own sketch with LO for inspiration.
I adore Denise's very artsy style.
This is my interpretation.

I've used the new June Cocoa Daisy Kit. I just love the bright Lilybee papers.
Aren't they fun?!!
And I'm so into adding circles to my pages right now.

The three of us in this photo just makes me smile. Ade captured it so well.
This was the day in April that we went to Chessington with my sis and her family.
The boys went on the Cobra first and then my sis, Hollie and I.
I wanted to hold on tight and they nagged me to put my hands up.
Total Peer pressure!!

I found some free printable stars online to print off, cut out and use as templates for my misting and stars on my page.

Want to play along, go on over to Cocoa Daisy.

I've loads on right now. Work and stuff and I'm really, really tired.
I need to go out this morning with 3 bags for the post office and I need to go into town for some supplies for work, but I so feel like staying in and I need to take the kids out after school as Hollie urgently needs a new coat and school bag. bOOOOO to going out today.
This means though that if I get everything done today, tomorrow can be a peaceful one
: ) That's the plan.

So, see you tomorrow when hopefully I'm enjoying my quiet day xxxxx

She Loves Peppa Pig

and so do i

I've made this page since blogging this morning.
So I thought I'd show and tell now whilst the house is still quiet.

I always want to playing along with Julie @ These are a few of my favourite things. But time doesn't always allow. There's such a different feeling to just scrapping a page for me. A real sense of freedom.
So today I made time after popping on yesterday, seeing that the challenge right now is favourite childhood toys and it made me think of the photos I took of my niece Millie on Friday.
My two have now out grown Peppa Pig (Sob) but Millie just loves it. We set up some water in the garden on Friday and Millie asked me to play with her. Naturally I said yes and loved every minute. Already at 2 1/2yrs, she made those high pitched cutesy voices for the characters when playing. How cute!!

I could just eat this baby girl. They are coming to see us on Saturday and I can't wait.

I used a whole mish mash of products on this page. Some cosmo, sassafras, lilybee, american crafts papers, maya road chipboard butterflies and bits and pieces that I haven't seen for a while.

With an evening to myself tonight ahead of me, I may just make another page. Just for me.

Sew Beautiful

Hello,

I broke into the gorgeous new Fancy Pants collection 'Baby Mine' last week. It is just so pretty and I love all the bits and pieces to go with the gorgeous double sided papers.

I played along with the card designers at The Studio this weekend.
I was dying to play with the new goodies so it was an excuse to make this.

Amanda's card challenge this week is to make a card and include stitching/Sewing/weaving.
I hand stitched around the patterened papers, handmade leaves and weaved the same embroidery floss in and out of the matching doilee. I love these delicate doilees, So Cute!

I also used one of the Baby Mine stickers, buttons, and the 'new arrival' rub on from Baby Mine.
And inside I added this.
If you would like to see the other cards at The Studio, visit here and upload your card too.

It's a rainy day today. One of those days where you take the kids to school and have to change your jeans when you get home as they are so wet around your ankles. I hate that!!

A quiet one today for me. Lots of work to get on with, Louis is out after school, Ade is out watching Peter Kay at the O2 tonight and Hollie wants to make her own pastry after school and make pasties. Baking seems to be her only interest lately. She's going through a phase where she just mopes. It drives me mad.
She refuses to read these days, so last night I gave her a couple of good cook books to take to bed and this seems to have worked. I went up a while later to turn out lights and she'd found a pastie recipe to try and decided this week to give choux pastry a go too.
Maybe I have a little pastry cehf on my hands???
I'm going with it anyway, whilst she has an interest at the moment.

Enjoy your Monday xxx
