Fancy a Beverage???

I never realised just how typically English we are as a family until I chat with lots of you from other places all over the world on our fab Cocoa Daisy message board. We LOVE our tea. We have a cup of tea in the afternoon, followed by another cup of tea after dinner with something sweet like homemade cake or a cookie. When we go on holiday we have to take our teabags with us. I like a strong breakfast style tea, as does my daughter and Ade my husband drinks a very milky Earl Grey. Yuk!
We buy a $1 Starbucks takeaway mug when we are on holiday in the US and when we lay around the pool, we take it in turn to go back to the condo to make a fresh brew. Yes it may be 90F, but there’s nothing quite like a good cup of tea no matter the weather.
So my Cocoa Daisy Challenge this month is to scrap your beverage story.
You have until 4th August 11pm EST to play along. Please see here for full details. No Cocoa Daisy Kit required. One lucky scrapper will win a $10 gift card to spend in the Daisy store.

A little Bistro in your Life

This months Cocoa Daisy Kit is called 'Bistro'.
There are some really cute elements to this kit.
I've had a lot of fun playing with it.

We went to see the new Jurassic World movie when it first came out so I scrapped this LO and made a pocket for the cinema tickets.

I also made this pocket page for my Project Life Album.

And recently we had an instagram hop and I made this canvas here.

I have so many more ideas using this months kit.

Enjoy your weekend xxx

Bye Bye School

So, Hollie finally says goodbye to school.

Her official last day was the 22nd May, but she's been popping in for exams since.
This Friday is her final exam. Where have the years gone???

I documented her last day at school using my June Cocoa Daisy Kit with lots of the DITL Kit and the stamps too.
There is a post here on Cocoa Daisy to see how the Stamps have been used this month.

She's going on to study English Language, Biology, Religious Studies and Art.
I'm so proud of her.

Sunshine Scrapping

I love using happy and colourful papers.
These Belle BLVD papers are the perfect sunny papers (despite being Easter/Spring) themed.
Sometimes, you've just got to look beyond the theme.

I have a blog post on Papermaze here with lots of little tips.
I had so much fun making this.

Time for a Catch Up!!

I don't know where the days are going lately.
Everything seems to be on fast forward.
I though it was time for a good ol' catch up.

So, latest news...
My next Lollipop Box Club Kit has gone on sale today.
You can read all about it here.

Last month went so well and this month has gotten off to a great start too.
I'm loving making these kits. It's just so much fun and I have such a wonderful response from those who have received them too.

Next news, the new Cocoa Daisy Kit has gone on sale today.
You can view the kit here.
This was my favourite LO that I made with the kit this month.

I love those colours.

Other news, the kids have just had a week off school. I worked all week so nothing exciting happened. Hollie studied lots and Louis saw friends.
We did take a trip out to see the new Tomorrowland movie at the cinema and had a trip to the mall at Basingstoke for a little shopping and dinner at Wagamamas.

And on the 22nd May, Hollie left school.

This was her last day. She's got going in for a few exams over the next couple of weeks now.
So it's been a busy couple of weeks.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a lovely Monday wherever you are xxx

A crazy few days

It really has been a crazy few days.
It's been almost a month since my new business Lollipop Box Club went live.
I've been working upto 17/18hr days and I haven't had a day off since my birthday weekend on March 21st.
But I'm loving it!!!  (my body may be telling me otherwise when that alarm goes off each morning)

The first kit got shipped last week. It was so exciting.

I reached my target and have made up extra kits since as they still keep selling.
I am thrilled.
And what makes me even happier is that the response has been amazing of those receiving their kits. It was such a special day yesterday receiving so many lovely and excited messages from so many people.

The next kit will be launched on 1st June - 7.30am - UK.
I'm really excited about this one. I love maps, travel and adventure. I feel this kit is very 'me'.
I'm also working with a couple of very inspirational people which makes me happy.
If this excites you too, please take a look at the website here.
Kits start at just £15 which includes UK delivery (or a flat rate of £5.50 worldwide)
You can sub now or buy a one off from the 1st June.

You can also find Lollipop on facebook here and read what others are saying about their kits as they arrive this week.

Exciting!!!

She Loves Alice

I love that Hollie as almost 16 still loves Disney.
I'd say she probably love sit more now than she's ever done.

I used my Lollipop Box Club Kit this month to make this LO.

There's still a few more kits left to buy here.

It was Halloween by the way when we were at Disney. Hollie doesn't usually dress as Alice : )

Pineapple Floats

We love the Pineapple Floats from Aloha Isle in Disney Magic Kingdom.
They are a highlight of the trip for us.

There's nothing we like more than to have one of these in the heat and sit in the shade and watch the magic go by.

The pineapples in this months Cocoa Daisy Kit were just what I needed to scrap these photos.
Some may be scrapping cocktails, for us it's Pineapple Floats.

What's your tipple????

Turning 40 - Project Life

So yes, 40 was my number last month.
I wasn't happy about it, but hey!! What can you do???!!

I decided to make a pocket page about my actual birthday using my April Cocoa Daisy Kit.

I'm planning a LO too right now.
It's one that needs to be in the album I guess.

My Creative Addiction

I have plenty!
Today's is about framing.
I do love to frame my work.

- I print my photos with frames
- I add frames to my LO's
- I frame my work with doodles, sewing, painting, stamping and today is washi tape.

I have a mini tutorial on how to do this (without going wonky... Rachel C.... I am thinking of you!!) over on the Cocoa Daisy blog today.

Happy Sunday all xxx

Life in Progress

That's the name of this LO here.

This photo was taken the week of my 40th birthday.
I'm now the shortest in the family, which to be fair isn't hard when you are 4ft10 : )

I've used this months sketch from the challenge over at Cocoa Daisy which you can find here if you want to play along.

So life right now.
It's crazy, totally crazy.
I'm talking getting up at 6am to come down to the studio to start work and finish around midnight.
Trying to put laundry on, vacuum, clean bathrooms and fix dinners in between.

I'm setting up a new business right now.
You can read a little about it here.
Lollipop Box Club
Ade's taken this week off to build a website for me.
We've never done this before, so it's been an interesting week : )
We are getting there.

Funky Fairies is busy, so that on top is hard going, but good.

Kids are off school. Hollie is working hard on her GCSE's and going in extra to school lots.
We are so proud of her.

Her prom dress arrives this week.
Customs have had their hands on it unfortunately, not only cutting the bag open that it came in so it was hanging out when it arrived with the courier and really dirty, but they cut the insides of it too open. How upsetting!!
A new one is being made, we just hope it arrives in time.

So crazy and stressful.
That's how things are right now.
We will get there : )

For those of you who know me well, you know it's Disney, Florida.

The Say Cheese 11 from Simple Stories has my name all over it.
So of course I'm using this collection for my LO.

I have various photos and tips over on Papermaze today.
See here.

Where's your happy place???

Trip Planning Again

Yes, I'm at it again.

This time we are planning Orlando in August 2017 as a big family trip.
Mum and her hubby, my brother and my sister and her family.

We had our first big family meeting at the weekend to start discussing dates etc..
Me being chief planner, I put holiday planning packs together.

I made money saving pots, planning journals and added Minnie Mouse Pencil Cases fully of cute stationery, a Virgin Holidays brochure and an info pack that I put together myself.

Over on Papermaze today I have all the details of how I made these money saving pot.

And these fun planning journals.

I had so much fun making them : )
I do have more photos, but blogger just isn't playing fair today and I'm giving up trying now.
They are on the Papermaze blog though if you click the link above.

Please go and take a peek.
Thanks xx
