The Studio Returns

I've been looking forward to this next challenge.
The Studio has launched it's new challenge blog and here is the first of many new challenges.

Have you ever scrapped a page about someone you've never met? Now's your chance! It could be your idol, or just someone who has touched your life in some way, but you've never had the pleasure of meeting them.

This one stumped me for quite some time and I always promised myself since starting taking part in challenges that I would never make a LO for the sake of taking part in a challenge.
I finally decided to scan these photos and scrap my Great Great Grandparents.
It's times like these that joining in with challenges like this actually gets me scrapping things I wouldn't usually have scrapped. I have been meaning to scrap these for coming up to 2 yrs now. I have this old box of photos under my desk that belonged to my Grandparents, but do tend to scrap the 'now' photos. So I am really pleased now that I have this page in my 'old family album'. I grew up pretty close to my Great Grandma (Oma) in Germany, so it feels very right to have her parents and also Opa's parents in this album.

I've been saving these chipboard butterflies for quite some time. They are so pretty.

So get that brain ticking, who can you think of scrapping that you have never met???
Come and take a look and see who the rest of the DT thought to scrap. Not everyone picked old relatives. The Studio.
There will be a lucky winner each month that will receive a prize, so don't forget to link up your LO's.

Here's my newest LO, just finished this morning. My hands are still aching from all that sewing. It's not easy sewing through all that Hambly you know.
I've used the latest scrap sketch from Twisted Sketches.

I've used this older photo of Louis loosing his first tooth.
I've kept it pretty simple, cardstock, paint, Hambly overlay and stitching.

And the twist is chipboard. I've used Basic Grey chipboard Alphas.

Happy Scrapping xxx
