Fancy a Beverage???

I never realised just how typically English we are as a family until I chat with lots of you from other places all over the world on our fab Cocoa Daisy message board. We LOVE our tea. We have a cup of tea in the afternoon, followed by another cup of tea after dinner with something sweet like homemade cake or a cookie. When we go on holiday we have to take our teabags with us. I like a strong breakfast style tea, as does my daughter and Ade my husband drinks a very milky Earl Grey. Yuk!
We buy a $1 Starbucks takeaway mug when we are on holiday in the US and when we lay around the pool, we take it in turn to go back to the condo to make a fresh brew. Yes it may be 90F, but there’s nothing quite like a good cup of tea no matter the weather.
So my Cocoa Daisy Challenge this month is to scrap your beverage story.
You have until 4th August 11pm EST to play along. Please see here for full details. No Cocoa Daisy Kit required. One lucky scrapper will win a $10 gift card to spend in the Daisy store.

Sunshine Scrapping

I love using happy and colourful papers.
These Belle BLVD papers are the perfect sunny papers (despite being Easter/Spring) themed.
Sometimes, you've just got to look beyond the theme.

I have a blog post on Papermaze here with lots of little tips.
I had so much fun making this.

It's hard to imagine fun in the sunshine on this very drizzly day today.
I do have a sunny LO on the Papermaze blog today though.
With a step by step process here.
I do love those happy Bella BLVD papers : )

Thanks for popping in today.
I hope you have sunshine wherever you may be xxx

She Loves Alice

I love that Hollie as almost 16 still loves Disney.
I'd say she probably love sit more now than she's ever done.

I used my Lollipop Box Club Kit this month to make this LO.

There's still a few more kits left to buy here.

It was Halloween by the way when we were at Disney. Hollie doesn't usually dress as Alice : )

Disney LO's....

Last weekend we had a little crop over at Cocoa Daisy.
It was so nice to spend some time chatting online with friend and scrapbooking a little too.

Using my May Kit I made a couple of LO's.

I'm loving the pretty pastels in this kit.

Pineapple Floats

We love the Pineapple Floats from Aloha Isle in Disney Magic Kingdom.
They are a highlight of the trip for us.

There's nothing we like more than to have one of these in the heat and sit in the shade and watch the magic go by.

The pineapples in this months Cocoa Daisy Kit were just what I needed to scrap these photos.
Some may be scrapping cocktails, for us it's Pineapple Floats.

What's your tipple????

My Creative Addiction

I have plenty!
Today's is about framing.
I do love to frame my work.

- I print my photos with frames
- I add frames to my LO's
- I frame my work with doodles, sewing, painting, stamping and today is washi tape.

I have a mini tutorial on how to do this (without going wonky... Rachel C.... I am thinking of you!!) over on the Cocoa Daisy blog today.

Happy Sunday all xxx

For those of you who know me well, you know it's Disney, Florida.

The Say Cheese 11 from Simple Stories has my name all over it.
So of course I'm using this collection for my LO.

Here's One I Made Earlier

Hello!!

I was going through my Orlando 2014 album recently and realised that I'd missed this LO that I made last year.

We had a fun afternoon at Epcot wandering in the heat. It was a scorching afternoon. We (Louis and I) took part in Agent P's Adventure. It's really cool. You get these little things that look like phones and you go on a mission answering questions and finding clues. It was so much fun. Louis really enjoyed it.

I'm battling a headache today and I have loads of work on so I'm keeping this short.

Hope you are well xxx

You & Me .....On the go

I was going through my Florida photos and thought ' I like that one, I'll print it'.
And then realised that we were in the rest room and the loo was visible.
Nice!!

So I ended up making a thing about it rather than trying to hide it as I thought I may originally do.

I used the Heidi Swapp 'Love this' stamp as a border.
We have a Cocoa Daisy blog post here featuring this months stamps.

I hope you are having a good weekend.
It's a little of everything here.
Work, house chores, decorating, blog scheduling, an exciting trip planning and I'd like to squeeze in some scrapping too.

Have fun xxx

Because sometimes you just want to play

That's what this LO was all about.

I usually love to scrap a story, but there are those time where you just want to play.
This was one of those times.
It was about the paints and the pastels and the stencils and the mists and the pretty papers and that gorgeous washi tape.
I just fancied getting messy fingers.
And the funny thing is. I only scrapped that photo a couple of weeks ago and I didn't even realise until I put it in my Orlando 2014 album and saw the other LO.

Sometimes you just get carried away with pretty product.

The March Cocoa Daisy Kit is on sale now.
Don't miss out!!

Have a wonderful Wednesday xxx

Crazy Chipmunks & a Sketch

Hello!!!!

I have some crazy chipmunks for you today.
Chip & Dale.
The kids love meeting these two at Disney.
It's my turn to host this months sketch challenge over at Cocoa Daisy.
This sketch was perfect for me to adapt to include all my photos.

There was a time when I would usually only scrap the one photo. Funny how you change over time.
The few whimsy pieces in this months CD kit was just right for my page. That's something that I love about getting a kit. Pulling out bits and pieces. I think if you were to look at my previous LO on my blog and then this one, you wouldn't think that they were from the same kit.

These two were so funny. When it was our turn, Chip came up right close to Ade's camera and then started messing around with Hollie's hair. Dale was with Louis. When it was time for the main photo Chip tried to push Louis out of the photo. It was so much fun watching the kids laugh and mess around. Something I love about Disney. They can turn from being stroppy teens to giggly 6yr olds again. I love it!!

We'd love you to join us and play along with this sketch challenge.
See here for full details.
You have 2 weeks to play and 1 winner gets a $10 coupon to spend in the Daisy store.
Have fun xxx

1,2,3,4 - Hello Again!!

Hello!!
This one ended up being my favourite LO that I made with my Cocoa Daisy Kit this month.
I'd already uploaded gallery and then this one kind of just effortlessly happened.
Anything with bright happy colours makes me happy.

So on this day we'd gone to this beautiful little neighbourhood on Disney property called 'Celebration'. It's picture book beautiful. We love to spend an afternoon here. Have a walk around the lakes, looking out for exciting nature and stop for ice cream floats at the ice cream parlour.

Ade's parents had kindly given us a little money at Easter instead of chocolate, so I saved it in our Orlando fund and said we'd treat ourselves and think of them when on holiday. So that's what we did. We stopped for ice cream floats and said a thank you to Gill and Gerald. We took a selfie to send them whilst we were there.

This is the beautiful view as you sit on the rocking chairs at the waterfront. Isn't it beautiful?
I marked off on the first photo where we took our photo from, under those green brollies. And the second is our view. Watching the herons, storks, terrapins and looking out for gators.

I loved this kit so much.
I used some of the free printables that you get sent with the monthly kit.
I love the pops of colour that they add.
I also added those pretty flowers by cutting them out from the Crate Paper in the kit and colouring them in with pastels using a sponge applicator for a softer effect.

I'm happy with this one.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happy March to you xxx

Bodging a 'B' and a great Milkshake

It's become a little tradition that when we visit Celebration in Orlando we stop for Coke floats by the lake. It's the most beautiful setting.

Hollie went for a strawberry milkshake this time and said it was the best milkshake ever.

I used the Belle BLVD - Molly papers on this LO.
Aren't they fun?!!

I was missing a 'B' though so had to create one myself.
Did I pull it off?

These are such pretty papers.
I cut out some of the flowers and leaves and added a little crackle glaze to the centre of the flowers.

Or Florida album is looking so colourful.

I hope you have a bright and colourful day xxx

Elevator Selfies

This was a new family trip tradition that started just after we'd checked in at Gatwick airport.

''Elevator Selfies''

We ended up with quite a few of these taken over the 3 week trip.

I used just 1 piece of patterned paper on this LO from Jillibean Soup - Sightseeing Stew. Along with a Jillibean Soup die cut paper which I use for misting only and I just love these new Jillibean Soup alpha stamps.
They are the best!!!

I am really getting through these Florida photos now : )

Have a wonderful Sunday.
I may just scrap a little more.

Eight Photos & Eight Stars

I'm sharing a fun and very colourful page today.

This was such a fun day at Hollywood Studios. The teens were at their best. Makes a huge difference to the day. The colours needed to be bright and fun to reflect upon the day we had.
I used to really struggle with multi photo LO's but I seem to make them more and more lately.

I used the Bella BLVD - Lucky Starz collection on this page.

It's half term here right now. Kids are at home for the week.
So far so good and it's already Wednesday.
I'm taking Louis and 2 friends out for ice cream whilst Hollie has a couple of friends over and does afternoon tea for them. How times have changed : )

Enjoy your day xxx

She makes me happy

When she's in a good mood that is!!
It's the Designers Challenge over at Cocoa Daisy today.
The challenge is:

... to use 3 photos
... Make your title a question
... Doodle on your page

Here is my take:

This was such a fun day at Hollywood Studios in Orlando. Hollie was up for so much fun. It made such a difference to the day. She took loads of silly selfies.

I used the February kit on this LO with lots of bits from the DITL kit.
I took the little vellum hearts and strung them onto some silver thread using a needle to make some bunting. It looks so cute!

If you want to play along with us at Cocoa Daisy. You have 2 weeks to play and you could win $10 to spend in the Daisy store,
See here for more details

1st Breakfast of the Trip & a Sketch

This LO brings back such happy memories to me.
It was only 3 months ago and yet seems so so much longer ago : (

It's that excitement of the first morning of your holiday.
Waking up to hot sunshine and 3 weeks of Orlando ahead of us.
Who could not be in the best of moods??!!

We started our holiday with an early morning dining reservation at the Crystal Palace restaurant in Magic Kingdom. These things are like gold dust. I'm talking booking on the minute 180 days ahead of time. I was there 10 minutes early (just incase) I wanted a booking for 8am which was the earliest and still didn't get one until 8.30am. That's how crazy the whole thing is.
We were happy with this though and it meant that we got in to the park early before it opened and were able to enjoy an empty Main Street and no one infront of the castle.

We would definitely do that again next time.

The food was amazing in the restaurant. We got to meet Pooh and his friends and our table looked out to the castle.
It couldn't have been more perfect.

I used this months Cocoa Daisy sketch to inspire me.
You have until January 22nd to play along.
Have fun xxx
