Let's Play

Another weekend has flown by, I hope your's was fun.

I have the new 'Studio' challenge for you now.

Today's challenge is: Play! Create a page that focuses on 'play'. This could be in the form of photos of your kids playing or you could 'play' with a new technique or colour combo on your page. Use your imagination!

This made me think of a recent photo I took as I entered Louis's room to check on him before I went to bed.
He'd lined up all these lego mini figures accross the room.
You just never know what you'll find when you check up on him at night.

This page was made using lots of bits and pieces I had in my little saucers on my desk. Quite a nice way to put a page together.

If you have a page you would like to make for this latest challenge, pop along here.

Today has flown by.
It's been so so sunny. We had a lovely visit to a farm today, followed by a garden centre. We came home and enjoyed being out in the garden. Hollie, Ade and I did some gardening. Hollie has decided to plant up some big ceramic pots and look after some violas she chose. We also had our first bbq this year. A whole chicken on the rotissori (however that's spelt!) I made it rather spicy but it was yummy along with very spicy paella. Yum!!

It's been a really nice day.
See you soon, thanks for stopping by x

Sunday Sugar Rush

Yesterday was so much fun. I had a lovely scrappy day with the girls and we laughed lots as always and got looked after so well by Sue's hubby as always.
Today I am tired. What is it about crops that's just totally exhausting?
Thankfully now the kids are abit older we can lie in, but I've felt zonked all day long.

Today sees a new challenge at The Studio.
It's been set by Lain Ehmann.
And here's what she says:

Use holiday theme stuff on a page that's NOT about that holiday. I have tons of holiday stuff (Christmas and Halloween in particular) that only makes it out once a year - I'd love to use it in some creative ways and see what other people can do.

So I've used an Easter paper collection from Scenic Route. Lynden Easter.
It seemed rather fitting using it with this photo of Hollie using her first mud face mask before a school disco this year.

The kids and I baked 'Blondies' a little while ago. (the oppisite of Brownies) So I'm about to serve them for afternoon tea. I love it when we have a cooked lunch and something light at tea time. I think I might put the coffee on too : )

Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

I Love this Spot

Good Morning,

Another dry morning here in the south of the UK. Second in a row infact.
Too good to be true : )

Sunday morning means a new challenge at The Studio.
Here you go.

Scrap a local landmark.

I don't have a landmark, but more a place.
I love our walks to our local common (i really hate that word, wish it could be called something else)
5-10mins walk from home and we are in the middle of nowhere.

This part of 'the common' has the airfield. The operating airfield, which is great we love watching the little planes taking off and landing over us, but we also have the disused runway (on the photo) that we walk on. It's so flat and perfect for the kids scooters but surrounded by woodlands and commonland. Great for wildlife and blackberry and apple picking right now. Love it here.

Please come over to The Studio and play along.
You still have until September 4th for your crop entries too.

One last thing, the lovely Tessa from Perfectly Precocious has a DT call running.
Tessa makes the most beautiful embellishments.
Visit her blog for more details.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend xxx
