Cocoa Daisy all the way....

I love Cocoa Daisy, I feel very loyal to the Daisies. I love my monthly kit and I adore all the girls on the boards. Everyone is so friendly and we have such a giggle.
Tonight is our Spring Crop. We are rather excited : )

I'm a happy bunny this morning.
Thank you Heidi for pointing out that I got a mention on the Studio Calico blog for my LO below of Louis. (still haven't completely forgiven him) : )

I also won $5 to spend at Studio Calico for this LO. I was one of the Sunday sketch winners.
I'm rather chuffed : )

I finished my Easter mini book this week for the Papermaze Blog. A 12x6'' book using the beautiful Basic Grey papers 'Green at Heart'. I haven't been a huge Basic Grey fan for a while, but these bright papers really took my fancy and I loved the embellishments to go with them.

Nothing scrappy from me today. I've been so busy with work, but planning to get a LO or 2 done tomorrow. Yay! And of course just 2 more sleeps until the Cocoa Daisy Spring Crop. Double and triple Yay!!!

But I have just seen on Tracie Hudson's blog that she's giving away these goodies. mmmmm nice : )

Sunday Scrapping

I've had a very selfish Sunday morning. Or that's how it feels anyway. I've been scrapping since just before 8am and it's now 12.30. I didn't mean to be in here for long...whoops!! I've said before how time disappears when I'm in this room, I'm sure I haven't really been scrapping for that long.

I've been playing along with Shimelle's challenges again and really enjoying it too.

and here's my take using a Studio Calico addon kit from this month. I love these crate papers. Crate paper has such a divine feel to it.

I've used the papers from the Stsudio Calico kit again, from the main kit though I think.
Shimelle asks what our fave American Crafts items are. Without a doubt, it's got to be Thickers for me. How could I live without them now??



As much as I would love to stay around and continue to scrap for the rest of the day, I really should go out the front with the rest of them. Ade's washed both cars, Louis has his dinos in the puddles and Hollie is riding around on her bike. Isn't it lovely all this sun and blue skies. Yea, I guess I should be sociable for a while x

It's the color room. I think I like it so much as it reminds me of the colorcombo challenges that I've loved doing for so long now, but sadly don't seem to be anymore : (

So, this morning when I was blog hopping, I saw on Ronda's blog that a new challenge has been launched with these beautiful colours. I knew instantly which photo I wanted to scrap, so got to it this afternoon.

I think this is one of my faves I've done in a long time.
I've used the majority from my new Studio Calico kit this week with some extra bits. Those primas I bought in Orlando recently.



And the shell buttons were actually a belt I had on a skirt.
I painted up the swirl and sprinkled on some shimmer sand for texture.

Now another discovery...Shimelle is having a scrapbook party this weekend : )
I love Shimelle and just adore her creations. The party is definitely worth checking out, I've really enjoyed peeking in and out all day whilst I've been working.
I've just done this quick scraplift.
Here are the LO's that were on offer to lift, believe it or not I lifted the last one. I know it looks nothing like it, it did in my head originally and then took on a life of it's own. But I have to admit, I do like it when that happens.



My story to this one is that I show my love through cooking and baking. If I love you lots then I simply put more effort in. ( I do apologise if you've ever visited me and just received toast!!)
Here's the proof....I try and keep everyone happy, so on this occasion last month, Ade wanted shepards pie and the kids beef cobbler, so with my new pie dish, I made half and half.



To me, that simply says LOVE.

I'm off back to Shimelle's.
And I have to add...I have butterflies about this weeks Dr Who is less than 1 1/2 hrs : )

mmmmm new stash : )

I'm loving my new Studio Calico Goodies. I've had them spread out over my sofa here in my studio. I can then enjoy each time I walk past.
I started to plan this latest LO last night, but then stuff got in the way of scrapping...a fire down the road and huge amounts of dominoes pizza which then resulted in belly ache, which resulted in 'Sofa-itus'.

So I've just grabbed some time and put my plans to paper.
I've used the Sunday Sketch from the Studio Calico Blog. It's the first time I've done this but seemed fitting with using my first kit.



I love these colours.
I think a fair bit of this is actually one of the addon kits. It's kinda mished together now, so I've forgottem what's from where. I just love it all.
I found the little starfish in a drawer. I've had it for yonks. You know when you keep stuff knowing it will come in handy one day.



My orange dabber paint has completely dried up : ( So I took the top of one of my orange glimmer mists and stuck in the paintbrush : )



These are the first photos to be printed from our holiday last week.
We had such a lovely walk one evening. We had the whole beach to ourselves.

I need to go to the post office now. I've been working all day so have loads to take down there. I hope it's not the slow woman, she must be part snail. (feel guilty for saying that now, I'm sure she's lovely really). I spent almost an hour in there on Monday and a couple of weeks ago 40mins. The person infront of me had 2 parcels and so did I. I know I send everything recorded delivery, but 10mins per parcel is no joke.

My Little Monster

Louis was up to his usual tricks on April 1st. He's been planning this day for a whole year.
My new Studio Calico Kit arrived this morning **happy me** and I still have the Sassafras Monstrosity papers and stickers that Ade got me for my birthday, so fully inspired by my lovely new kit, I've just made this.
Using the Twisted Sketches Sketch.



Doesn't he look sad??? He really did fool his whole class though with that sad face and sling.







I love these little frames that came in the kit.



The kids are at their Dad's tonight and I've worked all day. I really really fancy a glass of wine now : )

A Whole New Week

I need more hours in the day.

After a fab holiday, I've come back home with loads of work to catch up on. Ade thankfully took charge of the washing, but I'm now in panic mode with so much to do.
The kids and I have a dentist appointment in 1hr 30, I need to go to the post office, we are all still in pjs and my sister is due over with her 3 kids and hubby for the day as soon as we are due back from the dentist and I have no food in the house : (

What a week, roll on weekend

This hasn't been a good week. In fact it's been bloody awful.
Tears, frustration, upset, sleepless nights, not being able to eat and now I feel 'nothingy' and tired. Thank goodness the kids finished school today and we are going away on Saturday. I need it to just be the 4 of us again for a few days. I piled up aload of games today ready to take. I'm thinking board games, dvd's, the new Dr Who and lots of yummy food down at the seaside. Sounds good to me.

Anyway, scrapping.
