Life Together Sometimes Looks Abit Like This

We found a photo booth in Magic Kingdom and spent quite some time making silly photos.
There was a screen on the outside of the booth so the ones that weren't in the booth could see what was going on. We had so much silliness and fun.

I used this months Cocoa Daisy sketch.

The challenge runs for another week, so there's plenty of time to play along. Check out the Cocoa Daisy post here for full details and to see how the other girls used the sketch.

Life has been slowly getting back to normal this week.
My Mum had a knee replacement in November and I needed to help her out for a while as her hubby works away during the week. She lives an hour away though so it's been tricky balancing with work and the kids and I fell behind with work and then last week when I was hoping to catch up I got a really horrid cold. I lost my voice completely on Monday and it didn't start making a come back until Friday. I ached all over and just felt so lousy. I really wanted to call in sick. Not possible when you work for yourself though : (   So this week I feel so guilty that I'm not over in Swindon helping Mum but I'm trying to play catch up with work as I have so many deadlines before Christmas.
So that's what I'm about to do now....get back to work.

Thanks for stopping by xx

I wish I could wake up to this everyday

Every morning whilst away we would open up the blind of our balcony, lay in bed and watch the sunrise.
It was my favourite part of the day.
We'd put the kettle on and sit out there and enjoy the warmth and the morning sun.
The perfect start to any day.
I cried for that sunrise Saturday morning : (

I used my November Cocoa Daisy Kit.
I used the wood vaneer as a mask with Maya Mist and then used the blue wood vaneer and placed my photo on top.

I used this months Cocoa Daisy Sketch.

You have 2 weeks to play along if you wish.
You could win $10 to spend in the CD store.
See here for full details.

Enjoy!! x

October Sketch Challenge

I love using sketches when I scrapbook.
Here is the October Cocoa Daisy sketch challenge.

And this is my LO.

I used my Main Cocoa Daisy Kit along with the 'Day in the Life Kit'.

This was such a funny day.
It was when all the family were staying and it was Ade's birthday too. We visited a local museum which is all inside but is set like it's outside and takes you back to the early 1900's and see's you through the years.
We thought this would be so much fun for Dad with all his grandchildren.
We had the biggest laughs of the trip.
There was so much silliness and lots of photo staging going on.
There are so many photos and stories for this page, so I added one of the glassine envelopes to hold all the extras.

I had to add the skeleton card.
There was a pretend pier in this musuem full of ald arcade games, fotune telling machines etc.. We swapped money for old English pennies to use these old machines. The adults enjoyed it as much as the kids.
My 27yr old brother decided to try one and have his xray taken and received this card. He was genuinely so disappointed. We found this so funny that he was behaving like a 5yr old. What on earth did he exepect for a penny??? And no, he wasn't wearing a hat or smoking a pipe.
It did make us laugh.

So that's my silly LO.

Not too much to tell here.
Busy getting work up together before we head off.
This time next week we will be waiting for the kids to come home from school and they we will be off to stay at Gatwick Airport over night before our flight : )

Hope you are having a good week xxx

It's been a month !!!

Yes, it's been a month since I last blogged.
I don't know where that time has gone.
It's been a mad month.
Before I go on though I must tell you how beautiful this months Cocoa Daisy Kit is.
It's so pretty.
We still have some available here.
It's called 'Story Time' which is so fitting seeing as I have so many stories to tell this month.
This is what the kit looks like.

The first LO that I made was for this months Sketch Challenge which was launched today.

You can see the sketch here.
And this is the LO that I made.

My Dad arrived from the US on the 15th August. It's a yearly visit and my brother, sister, her hubby and their 3 kids all come to stay. It's our favourite time of year. We laugh so much. It is one long constant laugh. I've laughed so hard I've pee'd myself this summer and cried real tears through laughter. The laughter is generally at the expense of someone else in the group. We all share the same sense of evil humours and all take the pi$$ and play pranks all the time.

I absolutely love this selfie. We took it during a walk to Odiham Castle.

We'd love you to play along with us and use this sketch. You can read all about the challenge here plus see lots of other variations of this sketch made by my Cocoa Daisy Teamies.

So August.
We had a very sad funeral, but a lovely family gathering.
I've since made the decision to plan a family gathering every year on that side of the family.
I do it for my Dad's side each year now when Dad visits, so I'm going to do it on Mum's side now too.

We obviously had my Dad and family to stay.
We had so many fun days out.

Plus I had my busiest August for work, ever!!
So trying to juggle work, family visits and kids has been a task.
The kids go back to school on Thursday, I'm sad to see them go back but I need some normality again.

Then it's off to Florida!!!
36 sleeps to go.
We need this trip so bad. I've been working such long days, I can't wait for our family time.

Time to get back to work again now.
Thanks for stopping by and sorry for being a crapper summer blogger.

GGGRRRRR & a Sketch & a Circle

GGGGGGGRRRR to more pc problems.
I am so fed up this year. It's one thing after another with my pc.
It's been almost a week since I've been able to update my blog : (
I'm thinking it's time to invest in a new one.
I'm thinking of a mac now.

Anyway, less of the boring stuff. Time for fun scrappy stuff.
The Cocoa Daisy reveal was on Saturday.
I love this months kit sooooooo much. It's a winner in my eyes.
The kit has gone on sale today. Take a peek here.

I did end up with all of the addons this month.  Greedy I know!!

I've just posted the new sketch challenge on the CD blog here.

Here is my LO.

I used these Cocoa Daisy Stamps to add around the outside of the circle.

I used some of the Panda Eight Printables that come with the main kit. I'm hooked on these every month.

Please come and play with us.
Just add your link with your work to the blog post here by 15th July, 11pm EST and you could win $10 to spend in the Cocoa Daisy store.

Teeny Weeny Ones

Do you keep a stash of photos ready to scrap?

I have a little dish in my studio. It's like a 'go to' dish. If I don't feel like scrapping the ones I have printed. I go to this dish to see if one of these takes my fancy.
This time I decided to scrap all the teeny weeny ones.
There were just a lovely few that really showed off all the lovely things that we've done together as a family.
It makes me happy to see these.
Kids grow up so fast, sometimes you think, what have we done in all these years?
This LO here just shows it quite well.

There's Legoland Windsor (a fave when they were younger)  camping, Disneyworld, beach trip, Charmouth, a playground and a snow day.

Happy Memories.

This LO was inspired by the latest Chic Tags Sketch which you can see here.
Lots of lovely Chic Tags goodies on this LO.

I hope you are having a good day.
It's sunny here. Yay!!!

Breakfast Time & a Sketch & a new Pair of Ears

Would you like to try and win $10 to spend in the Cocoa Daisy store?

All you need to do is to play along with the sketch challenge here.
Click on that link to see the sketch and see what the other girls have made for inspiration.
Then add the link to your gallery or to your blog at the end of the challenge blog post.
Easy!!

Here's my take on the sketch.

It's all about how I like to try and make an effort with the kids breakfasts.
It makes me feel happier with them going off to school with full tummies knowing that they've had a healthy start to the day.

That task is easier said than done with Hollie these days as she would rather spend the time doing her hair than sitting down for breakfast. So as much as Ade hates it, I am guilty of taking up home made smoothies and juices and Mickey Mouse shaped toast to her room to try and get something healthy inside her before school.

Please play along with us.
We'd love to see what you do with the sketch.
No Cocoa Daisy Kit required to play along.

I hope your weekend has gotten off to a great start.
This was me earlier today with my new ears.

So I think you can see how I'm feeling today.
How can one not feel happy when wearing Minnie Mouse ears?!!

Working from Home

I have a January Cocoa Daisy Sketch for you.

Are you ready to play along?
If your mojo needs a little kick start for the beginning of the year, this could just be the thing for you.
Here's my take.

I documented how much I loved working from home in December.
It's my quietest month of the year. I had lots of big orders, but not so many of the little ones coming through. It means that I can take my work in to the lounge, sit on front of the Christmas tree, make pretty wedding stationery and watch movies.
Bliss.
I did enjoy it : )

I used a mish mash of products on this page.
Crate Paper for the background, the other papers and journal cards are Cocoa Daisy exclusives.
This Blueprint kit and some really cool bits and pieces with it.

So come and join in. Add your blog link or a link to a gallery of your LO to the Cocoa Daisy blog post here. One lucky person will win a $10 coupon to spend in the Cocoa Daisy Boutique.

Have fun xx

We are Officially Counting Down

Yes we are!!!
We broke the news to the kids at the weekend when we were out for hot choccie and cakes.

We are so excited!!
Trip #4 and it gets more exciting each time we go.

Another LO made with my December Cocoa Daisy Kit.
I used quite abit of the Day in the life kit here too.

I tarted up the Maya Road Chipboard Alphas. Got glitter everywhere : )

This is my take on this months Cocoa Daisy Sketch.
You can see the sketch and challenge here along with Mandy Kay's take too.
Love this months sketch.

We've just been out Christmas Tree shopping and purchased some more outdoor lights too. We did our usual of stopping off at 'jacks fish and chips' after and having chippies in the car : )
I love our little traditions and love that I'm married to someone who loves this season just as much as I do. Makes me happy.

Enjoy your day xxx

Hello Friend - Cocoa Daisy Sketch

Hiya : )

I hope you are having a good week so far.

Today I have the latest Cocoa Daisy Sketch challenge for you.The challenge runs until 18th December. You can see the full details here if you fancy playing along.
Here you go.

And here's my sample LO to go with it.

I used this months CD kit. I love these happy colours and the 'Simple Stories' stickers and papers are so fun to scrap with.

I used this photo that I took of us whilst at Magic Kingdom on the Jungle Cruise ride. It was such a boiling hot day.

This LO is about Ade working from home now and the fact that we are spending practically 24hrs together at home. (I also work from home).
It's made me realise what great friends we are that we can make this work. It is hard at times and we've needed to adjust in certain areas, but it is working and the majority of the time I'm loving having him home.

Don't forget to play along with us at Cocoa Daisy. I'd love to see your LO's : )

Thanks for stopping by today xxx

Cordon Blue & A Scrap365 Sketch

Hello and a Happy Monday to you today.
I hope you had a good weekend.

I have a sketch challenge to share with you this morning.
It's the December Scrap365 sketch.
Here is my LO that I made for it.

When we were in Island of Adventures we hunted down the Mystic Fountain.
There had been chat about this fountain on the Florida Forum that I go on.  We'd visited this park on our other trips by never noticed this fountain. We hung around and laughed so much. The fountain shouts out and is so rude to people.Pretends to spit at people when they go past and make them jump. It was so funny.Louis kept trying to run up and through coins in but was going around the outside to avoid being squirted. The fountain was shouting at Louis and calling him 'Cordon Blue' (he was wearing his blue Chelsea top). It was shouting ''Hey you Cordon Blue!!'' Are you chicken???''.
We spent quite some time here, it was so funny : )

I bought lots of Basic Grey 'Serendipity & Shine on' whilst in Orlando so used some of these new bits on this page.

If you would like to see the Scrap365 sketch, you can view it here and play along.
The closing date to play along is 20th December.
Have fun : )
